Organization Description : Choice in Aging is a 77-year-old community-based nonprofit with a long history of helping people live with dignity, independence, and choice. Founded as a polio rehabilitation facility for children, we have grown and evolved to serve people of all ages and abilities. At the heart of our work is a simple belief: no one should lose the opportunity to experience dignity, joy, and a life of their choosing.Throughout our history, Choice in Aging has served communities across multiple counties and cities, providing health and social services designed to help people remain in their homes and communities rather than enter institutions. We also empower caregivers with the education, support, and respite they need to continue providing care for the people they love. Today, Choice in Aging provides adult day health care programs, complex case management, mental health care management, enhanced care management, caregiver support, an intergenerational Montessori preschool, accessible transportation, and, of course, advocacy, advocacy, advocacy! We believe that regardless of your age, ability, religion, ethnic background, or identity, you have the right to live in the setting of your choice, with the support you need to do so.
