Friends of Sutter's Fort

The Friends of Sutter's Fort is a nonprofit 501 (C) (3) cooperating association dedicated to supporting the restoration, educational and interpretive programs at Sutter's Fort State Historic Park. Along with funding critical restoration projects (such as the recent repairs of the exterior walls and the renovation of the blacksmith shop), we also provide ongoing critical funding for the Environmental Living and Environmental Studies programs at the park. These Environmental Living Programs impact the lives of thousands of students each year, giving students a unique first-hand experience of what life was like at Sutter's Fort in the 1840's and provides them with memories that will last a lifetime.
